No more cold feet: Sew a foot warmer

Fußwärmer

Do you feel the same way? Are you sitting at your desk or on the sofa and the cold slowly creeps up your legs until you are completely frozen? It happens to me all the time, even when it’s not really cold in the room – just because I’m not moving. I feel like I’ve tried everything – thick socks, warm slippers, hot water bottle, hot tea, blanket – but it just didn’t help, my feet stayed cold.

The hot water bottle helped the most, but my feet were still cold from the top down. An additional woollen blanket kept the heat in, but it always slipped off my feet. So we needed a design that combined the advantages of a hot water bottle with those of a woollen blanket. In other words, a kind of footmuff with a slot for a hot water bottle to keep your feet warm all around.

No sooner said than done. I did some research, sewed a prototype, tried it out – and what can I say? I no longer have cold feet! My new foot warmer is my absolute favorite item in the home office and I use it right away in the morning 😉

To help you get rid of your cold feet forever, I have digitized the pattern and written detailed instructions that are also suitable for beginners. Of course, you can also make this foot warmer for your loved ones – it fits comfortably up to at least shoe size 45 (probably even bigger, but I didn’t have any bigger feet to test 😉). And Christmas is just around the corner…

If you try the instructions, please let me know if your cold feet are gone forever 😊
